Managing Director & Solicitor - Head of Family LawSam began her legal career in 1998 and qualified as a solicitor in 2002, becoming a partner at Brown Turner in 2006. Since 2016 she has been managing director at Brown Turner Ross.

David Bushell

David Bushell
DirectorDave joined Brown Turner in 1973, qualifying as a solicitor in 1975. He acquired Brown Turner Compton Carr in 1986 and managed the firm for 30 years until 2016 when he stepped down as Managing Director.
Dave started his career as a criminal defence lawyer before moving into a mix of family law and commercial work. He specialises in:

motoring law
Dave has developed a specialism within family law of acting for clients seeking to have their divorce settlements reviewed, on one occasion achieving significant damages for a client whose original settlement had undervalued her share of her husband’s pension.
He has won significant Appeals against initial decisions divorce matters on behalf of husbands who he felt had been particularly badly treated by the Judges in the Lower Court
He has significant experience of advising clients in large scale business sales, in particular in the garden centre/nursery sector.

Conveyancing SolicitorVicki Coulthurst qualified as a Solicitor in 1989. She trained at Goffey & Co, in Southport before moving in 1989 to Canter Levin & Berg. In 1991 she joined Ridgway Greenall (now FDR Law) until December 2020 being made a Partner in 1993 and sitting on their management committee for more than 6 years.
From the beginning of her career Vicki has been involved in all aspects of residential conveyancing and she has 30 years experience in property matters.
Vicki joined the Brown Turner Ross in January 2021 in their current role, specialising in:

Sinead Touhey
Conveyancing AssistantSinead began her legal career in 2016 after graduating from Liverpool John Moores University. She started her career in Personal Injury before retraining in property law in her previous employment.
She joined Brown Turner Ross in January 2020 as conveyancing assistant in the Residential Conveyancing Department.
Sinead works alongside Kevin Ross and deals largely with the selling and purchasing of both freehold and leasehold properties. She deals with a variety of matters from straight forward sales and purchases to those requiring a more technical capability including selling by way of Court Order, Grant of Probate matters, matrimonial split transfers, Equity release and remortgages.

Before embarking on a career in law, Gemma gained significant experience within the residential property sector, by benefiting from 14 years engaged as an estate and letting agent at a recognised, award-winning agency in Kirkby. The final 4 of these 14 years were spent working in the capacity of director.
Gemma joined Brown Turner Ross in 2021 taking up her current role as a Residential Conveyancing Paralegal, whist she continues to study for the Legal Practice Course before progressing to Trainee Solicitor.

Thomas Rimmington

She later became a manager in a significant personal injury firm in Southport responsible for the Costs Team with recovery of fees from Third party Solicitors.
She currently works in the Housing Disrepair Team and is responsible for assisting and managing the efficient operation of the department.
