Sam began her legal career in 1998 and qualified as a solicitor in 2002, becoming a partner at Brown Turner in 2006.  Since 2016 she has been managing director at Brown Turner Ross.

From the start of her career she has focused solely on family law.  She specialises in:

Graham started his legal career as a legal assistant dealing with PI claims in 2011. Since then he has worked as a solicitor, and subsequently Director, of a Liverpool law firm dealing with civil litigation, private family law as well as wills. He joined Brown Turner Ross as an associate solicitor in 2022.

Jo began her legal career in 1981. During her career she has been involved in family law, children proceedings, litigation and conveyancing.

Dave joined Brown Turner in 1973, qualifying as a solicitor in 1975. He acquired Brown Turner Compton Carr in 1986 and managed the firm for 30 years until 2016 when he stepped down as Managing Director.

Dave specialises in the following areas of law:

• Commercial and general litigation
• commercial and corporate work, including company sales and purchases
• professional negligence litigation in family law
• high value divorce work, including seeking reviews of past settlements
• motoring law

Dave has significant experience as a tenacious litigator in high value multi-track commercial litigation including director and shareholder disputes and disputes arising out of breach of fiduciary duty.

Dave has developed a niche area of litigation within family law, acting for clients seeking to have their divorce settlements reviewed and seeking compensation from their previous solicitors, achieving significant damages for a client whose original settlement had undervalued her share of her husband’s pension.

He has won significant Appeals against initial decisions in divorce matters on behalf of husbands who he felt they had been particularly badly treated by the Judges in the Lower Court

He has significant experience of advising clients in large scale business sales, in particular in the garden centre/nursery sector.

Micaela began her legal career in 2003, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2011 and a solicitor in 2013.

Amy began her legal career with Brown Turner Ross in 2009.  From the beginning of her career she has been involved in Conveyancing, dealing with a vast mixture of different areas of Property Law, from commercial property and residential property to dealing with large development sites as Assistant to the Property Director.

In March 2024, Amy took up her current role as Conveyancing Executive dealing with Auction Property Sales and has received excellent client reviews for her dedication and commitment to her clients.

In her personal time, Amy enjoys spending time with her Daughter, Grace and socialising with her family and friends.

Gill qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 in a local Southport firm and became a Partner in 2009. During this time she headed up a large commercial property team dealing with a variety of commercial and residential transactions. In 2013 Gill moved to another local firm and became Head of Property again dealing with a mixed caseload of commercial and residential property matters.

Gill joins Brown Turner Ross as Head of Property in the Formby office.

Gill was the President of the Southport and Ormskirk Law Society in 2019 and 2022 she is now the Secretary of the Society.

Vicki Coulthurst qualified as a Solicitor in 1989. She trained at Goffey & Co, in Southport before moving in 1989 to Canter Levin & Berg. In 1991 she joined Ridgway Greenall (now FDR Law) until December 2020 being made a Partner in 1993 and sitting on their management committee for more than 6 years.

From the beginning of her career Vicki has been involved in all aspects of residential conveyancing and she has 30 years experience in property matters.

Vicki joined the Brown Turner Ross in January 2021 in their current role, specialising in:

Sales, purchases and remortgages including Buy to Let of houses and flats, leasehold and freehold and new build

Jan started her legal career in 1994 as a Junior Secretary.  From the beginning of her career she has been involved in all aspects of law across the board however for the last 20 years mostly in Conveyancing.  She joined Brown Turner Ross in 2024 and took up their current role as a Senior Legal Assistant for Kevin Ross.

Luca began her legal career in 2023 at Brown Turner Ross as an apprentice. She is currently a legal assistant for Sorelle Evers in the Private Client Department.

Charlotte joined Brown Turner Ross in September 2024 and has worked in civil litigation since 2005, where she began as a Paralegal within a personal injury department. Since 2005, she has worked in a variety of areas, including professional negligence, medical negligence, and catastrophic injury. She has also dealt with residential housing/Landlord and Tenant disputes since 2022.

Marna began her legal career in 1995.  She has over 25 years’ experience in legal administration having worked as a Barristers Clerk in a busy Liverpool Chambers where she was responsible for a number of barristers, ensuring the efficient running of their diaries and fees.  She later became a manager in a significant personal injury firm in Southport responsible for the Costs Team with recovery of fees from Third party Solicitors.

She currently works in the Housing Disrepair Team and is responsible for assisting and managing the efficient operation of the department.

Her current role covers the following:

• File management and administration
• Monitoring and progression of incoming work
• Contracts
• Costs

Denise has over 30 years’ experience in law, starting her career in 1991 at Brown Turner Compton Carr as a Legal Secretary. Denise returned to (the now) Brown Turner Ross in January 2017 working in the family department before moving to housing disrepair team in 2018.

Denise has since joined the litigation department working as a Legal Assistant.

Debbie has over 35 years of experience working as a Personal Assistant/Legal Secretary. She joined Brown Turner Ross in 2023 and took up her current role as a Legal Secretary assisting a number of Solicitors with their day-to-day tasks.
