Brown Turner Ross continues investment in people with newest recruit

A progressive and forward-thinking business that always has its employees’ interests at the forefront of its operations, Brown Turner Ross has a proud track record for un-earthing and nurturing talent.

Working with numerous schools, colleges and universities throughout the years, there has been no shortage of legal prospects coming through the doors at the company, with our newest protegee, family law paralegal Lucy Newton, now flying the flag for the next generation.

A law student at the University of Liverpool from 2018 to 2021, Lucy joined the company last year, with her hard-work, dedication and undoubted skill, recently seeing her progress to be offered a training contract, starting in 2023.

As she takes her next step on the ladder to become a fully qualified solicitor, Lucy has discussed her journey so far, with the senior team at Brown Turner Ross helping her gain experience and expertise in a successful law firm.

“I’ve always been interested in law after studying it at school and college, with this intensifying further when I started my law degree at university. Receiving first class honours, I was immediately drawn to family law – which is why I feel so privileged to be working at Brown Turner Ross, with Sam and the team experts in that field.

“Working on my LPC (Legal Practice Course) alongside my work at Brown Turner Ross, I have enjoyed the last 9 months and had a lot of support and guidance along the way. I’ve been able to develop my skills, at the same time, working with clients and more recently on my own files with close supervision, which has helped by development tenfold.

“It’s been great to put all of my book work into practice and by the age of 24 if everything goes to plan, I am confident that I will be fully qualified – which would not have been possible without the help of Brown Turner Ross.”
