This October, Brown Turner Ross are continuing its partnership with CLIC Sargent, its chosen charity of the year, and will be giving its time and expertise for free to support children and young people with cancer and to help members of the public to write or update their Will.
Throughout the month the firm won’t charge clients who take up the offer for making or updating their Will, instead asking them to join the fight for young lives against cancer by making a donation to the charity.
After providing for their loved ones in their Will, many people also choose to use it as an opportunity to continue to support any charities that have played an important part in their life or that they feel passionate about – often leaving a percentage of the remainder of their estate to their chosen charity.
Matthew Skeels, a director at Brown Turner Ross, who is part of the private client team, said:
“Having an up to date Will allows you to make sure that your money goes where you want it to and the people or causes that you care about most. For many people, writing their Will provides peace of mind in knowing that their loved ones will be taken care of in the future.
“We also know how important donations and gifts in Wills are to charities like CLIC Sargent which is why we are pleased to be able to continue our year-long partnership with them by giving our time and expertise during Make a Will Month.”
