Brown Turner Ross is delighted to have signed up as a Corporate Partner with the Royal & Broadgreen University Hospitals and to be supporting them in a variety of ways in rasing funds for the much needed new Hospital building in Liverpool. The Firm has commited to a minimum donation and hopes to increase that by involving Staff in Fund Raising activities throughout the intial 1 year period of the Partnership.
The Royal and Broadgreen University Hospitals (RLBUHT) is the major acute university
teaching hospital for Merseyside and Cheshire and have an ambitious vision of world class services and hospitals. The mission of the Trust is ‘to improve the quality of life for patients by providing excellent, safe and accessible health care, supported by teaching, learning and research’ and the charitable arm is set up to support this mission.

The role of fundraising is to raise charitable income to help enhance and improve the quality of patient care and services for patients and their families as well as deliver the achievement of the Trusts corporate objectives.

In early 2013, work will begin on building a new state-of-the-art hospital to replace the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. The Trust has consulted closely with patients, the public and staff in planning the new hospital and what they wanted from a new Royal. Local people and patients will be encouraged to contribute to the ongoing plans and designs for the new hospital, including a new large landscaped area, about the same size of Chavasse Park, creating a permanent public park for the community.

Fundraising will play a big part in the new build with money raised to fund new equipment and facilities in a range of research and care. These can be catagorised in four main areas:

  • Cancer services for young people
  • Stoke
  • Critical Care
  • Renal

Dave Bushell, Managing Director of Brown Turner Ross said

“We are delighted to have gone into partnership with such an outstanding organisation which has for many years been recognised as a centre of excellence in healthcare. It is now in need of a state of the art new building to enable it to deliver health services to the highest possible standards that can now be achieved. We are delighted to have the opportunity of supporting this worthy cause in any way we can. Any legal work we undertake that is referred to us by the Hospital will enable us to make our donation to the Charity even greater.”
