The Mencap Liverpool ‘Ginasium’ Gin tasting evening returned this year being held on November 3rd with 60 Hope Street once again being the hosts.
The evening included gin tasting, canapes and fun with varied gin & whisky cocktails being concocted by the bar staff before being distributed for expert (or otherwise) opinion to be expressed! All in aid of Mencap Liverpool.
Our representative was Frank Rogers who manfully battled through the samples declaring his favourite to be Liverpool Gin. Provisional figures show that the Event raised in the region of £800.00 which will be doubled by match funding so all in all a great success.
Mencap Liverpool is proud to be the local voice of learning disability in Liverpool. They are a local charity who share the same vision, mission and values as national Mencap but are independently run and focus their work and support entirely on people living locally. As they do not receive any funding from national Mencap, their work is almost entirely funded by contributions from charitable trusts, legacies and donations – and kind-hearted donations from the general public.
